There’s an exciting new trend going on! We are seeing designers selecting darker colours for countertops, choosing natural stones in a soft leather finish rather than the shiny polished finish.
Keep in mind that if you stick with whites, but want to go with the matte finish, the engineered quartz slabs are harder to keep clean in a non-shiny finish. Darker colours are always more forgiving in this regard.
Some of the natural stones in our stock also feature Senguard ©, the Sensa treatment by Cosentino, a revolutionary stain protection treatment which make natural stones very maintenance friendly. Senguard © bonds to the granite or natural quartzite, changing the surface tension to create a barrier which prevents liquids from penetrating and staining the surface while also allowing the stone to breathe. The formula also protects against UV radiation meaning the colour of your stone will not change over time when exposed to sunlight. Surfaces are scratch resistant, approved for direct contact with food and come with a 15-year transferable warranty.
