There are so many brands of engineered quartz, each with their own colour offering, that most of these selections have to be special ordered in full slabs. Engineered quartz countertops can make a fantastic impact in your home while adding beauty and elegance. Most engineered quartz countertops and vanities require only a remnant sized piece, so if a remnant we have in stock can be used for your engineered stone countertop, you can take advantage of substantial saving. Additionally, Dauter Stone carries more than a dozen colours of engineered quartz in regular stock, so these choices also offer savings.
Soapstone Countertops & Vanities
Soapstone is a unique choice for those who want the beauty and practicality of natural stone with a softer, slightly textured surface and slightly more rustic look than polished stone. A soapstone countertop is extremely dense, non-porous, and will not stain (once oiled). Like a granite countertop, it is stain-resistant and heat-resistant. Colour choice is in a range of greys, with creamy white veining, a good match for most tiles, cabinetry, and fixtures. Unlike a granite countertop or an engineered stone countertop, it is soft and although it scratches easily, the scratches disappear with oiling. Initial saturation with mineral oil is required to prep the surface and brings out the colour and beauty of the stone.
