Natural Stone

Created millions of years ago, natural stone is a timeless and luxurious option for any space. Natural stone is also resilient, durable, low-maintenance and it can take the heat! This surface type can handle warmer elements such as bowls or plates recently removed from the microwave. When it comes to heat however, we always recommend protecting your surface with a sealant along with trivets to help extend your natural stone countertop’s longevity. For the chefs in your life, natural stone provides a cool, smooth surface which makes for ideal conditions to roll dough, conduct general meal prep and more. In addition, natural stone slabs are usually a bit larger than manufactured stone, allowing for the increased likelihood of avoiding any undesirable seams.

Manufactured Stone

When it comes to manufactured stone, the colours and options are extensive. At Dauter Stone we carry Dekton by Cosentino and with over 8 collections and 40 natural-like colours, the choices are truly endless. Dekton by Cosentino is made of more than 20 minerals extracted by nature and is manufactured using TSP technology which bonds the mineral particles together to create an ultra-compact, durable surface. Wonderful options to choose from include Awake from the Onirika Collection and Entzo from the Natural Collection.

We also carry engineered quartz by Silestone, Caesarstone, Hanstone and Cambria and each product line comes with a huge selection of colours and patterns to choose from. A few of our favorites include Bentley Cambria Quartz, Blanco Maple Silestone, Blizzard Caesarstone, and Montauk Hanstone. Manufactured stone slabs sizes tend to be a bit smaller than our natural stone slabs however, here at Dauter Stone, our helpful team is always on hand to custom fabricate your slab to suit any project.
